Has anyone left Gila eggs buried for incubation. Regarding ProExotics post of the Gila eggs being buried deep in a clay burrow I wonder if they'd hatch successfully if just left there. Anyone tried it?

if we have a very successful year this year, and learn more about the path we are taking, we are considering letting a clutch go next season, full term in the burrow.
when we dig up eggs, they are invariably laid at the proper incubation temperature, it is just a matter of relying on variances in cage and room temps to not vary too much and let them "incubate".
a bit scary, but we may very well give it a go. next year : )
