A Wake up Call

Hello
I have owned a Spec. Caiman for 5 years now and recently I moved in with my brother in Denver, I was not sure about Crocodilians being legal in Denver cause they are sold there..
But just recently Denver County Animal Control came to my house and took my 4 ft Spec (Steve). They were nice about it and gave me all the info on how to get him out. Hes been in there for a little over a week..I call constantly to see how hes doing.
They said it was the most healthy Caiman they came across..So that did make me feel somewhat better. I plan to get him out this Fri.
My point is do a little research if you own a exotic..especially a Crocodilian to see if its legal in your area..or before you move look into it as well..
Cause this has been a scare for me and it has costed me quite a bit..
