Just amazed how colors come...

mngrivera Mar 17, 2004 05:38 PM

Through when they shed. Goldberg still has his body to shed but if its anything like his head it'll be amazing! The top of his head is now yellow with orange streaks along the ears and mouth.

Oh and I had a question... does anyone take their guys with them for visits? Easter is coming and I think I'll be going to Houston for 3 days. My husband has to work no matter what but being a restaurant manager his hours are ridiculous 3pm to about 1-3 am. I'hate for their lights to be on all that time plus I don't know what attention they'll get while we are gone.

Hhhmmmmmm- free advertising in exchange for a lil female??? LOL But I'm sure I will be contacting you for one of Dakota's babies later on in the year!!!! I am so happy that this forum is here. Had I not done my homework I would have bought through a petshop having to buy crickets all the time and walnut or calsi sand subtrate!

a while back you posted a pic of the dragon you already had, think it was jess, when you got goldberg and he was perched on a branch (someone commented like he was riding a horse)... would you mind posting that pic again? i keep trying to describe it to my husband but it isn't working, and it is no longer on your old post. thanks for humoring me if you still have the pic.

What a handsome face Its amazing how they brighten up with a bath as well, Doodle-noodle turns a lovely yellow-orange.

Myself, I leave lizards and cats behind on visits. Instead of leaving the lights on, pick up a timer from the local hardware store. All my guys are on timers, they're up before I am, and the lights going off is how I know its bed time, no kidding!! If I was going away for more than a few days, I'd have someone come in to check on them and feed them, but so far that hasn't been an issue. My life is ruled by my pets :P I don't think I will ever have a true holiday again LOL

Well the cat will be fine. Geo has an automatic feeder and water. I need to go see about a timer then! Ha ha- I couldn't resist- Here's Geo!!

All the time. Draconis has his own leash and carry-case I keep him in for when he goes on trips with me. His carry-case is well outfitted with:

1: a low-watt heating pad to put underneath the carrier for lower temps at night
2: built-in watter bowl and food dish
3: water bottle spritzer
4: small basking log for height and shelter
5: wall-to-wall carpeting
6: thermometer and hydrometer
7: lenghtened leash for more roaming space

I also have a small cooler filled with fresh greens, cubes, and supers handy for when he gets hungry. With his leash, he rides on my shoulders whenever I drive, and sits perfectly still (mostly!) wherever we go. I'm going to an offroad event in July, and plan to have him with me the entire time. Hope he doesn't get nervous when the Jeep starts bouncing around!!!

p.s. - If we stay in a hotel room, I always request a room with a sunny-side window for good daylight exposure. Gotta make sure he's getting good rays!
