Have a very similar pattern............are there other snakes native only to madagascar that display these markings? always thought it was neat that they look so similar but are so different.

Yes, in addition to them there are Madagascar ground boas. They look more like the Dumerils with a different pattern on their back. Prehistoric Pets has one pictured at their website to check out.
