This red one is a keeper, I like the black stripe that is connecting the dorsal pattern, curious how it will turn out. I have my eye on another yellow one that has a really wild head pattern but that is all I can see at this point.

You must share more details about your photo technique. You know stuff like lighting and settings. Those can't just be point and shoots on auto..........or are they? 
As I mentioned before, I am using the old Nikon Coolpix 990. I usually take all my shots in natural daylight but in the shade. Smaller subjects get the macro setting and I will take shots with both flash and without and decide which ones are best later on the PC. It took me a long time to figure this camera out, I still don't think my shots are that great but I have no reason to upgrade to a new camera just yet. Thanks for the compliments and I am going to try to do better after these little guys shed. There are no better photography subjects than hatchling chondros IMO. BTW, the last two were out this morning before I left for work.
