bibronii or cantorii from the philippines.....

i recently came back from a trip from the philippines... i encountered a kind of softshell turtle with a head like the chitra chitra... in this part of asia, what would this turtle be... i don't think there are any chitras there and it doesn't have any much marking on their back.

thanks...

any difference with this and the others from other localities?

Pelochelys cantorii is extremely widespread throughout southeast Asia and that is more than likely what you saw. There is slight variation throughout the range.

Pelochelys bibroni only occurs in southern Papua New Guinea. And then Pelochelys signifera occurs in Northern Papua New Guinea and Iryan Jaya.

Yep, P. cantorii occurs in the Philippenes.
