Is my Kingsnake sick?

I was just watching my king, and he's been doing something weird that I haven't seen in the week I've had him. He'll be crawling around, get still, then twitch/contract, and its really fast, and his body gets "wider" when he does this. Is this normal, or is he sneezing or something? Either way, I'm taking him to the vet tommorrow for a "physical" but I just was wondering if anybody here might have an idea.
