Albino Baby's Head turning dark orange

Starling Jun 11, 2003 07:30 PM

So this little girl was just hatched on Saturday. Her mom is a superhypotangcarrottail het albino, dad is hypotang albino.

I just looked at her today and she has changed quite a bit in just these three days, her head is turning a very deep orange. As the head in my experience is a good indicator of what will happen as tang albinos age...I take this as a good sign!

Wow, could be something there. All orange albinos That would be so cool it is almost strange to think about. Hopefully it progresses for you it could be the start of some new lines.

This is her clutchmate, Bea (named because she makes me think of a bee), hatched Friday 6/6. The black on her head is fading fast and also starting to go orange. Her black bands are lightening already. Her mom is superhypo, will be interesting to see how she develops. I would think she would turn out hypo or superhypo, given her parents, but will need to wait and see.
