RICH IHLE AND HIS FEMALE ANACONDA!

salmonboa.com Mar 18, 2004 10:07 AM

We took this pic the other day and thought we would share it on the forum. This is "Annie" and she is a 5 year old. I would have gotten more of her out, but I dont know that I could hold it all. We hope to get babies from her this season.

Thanks
Rich

Hello,
That is a big snake. How long is she, and how much does she weigh? Good thing she is tame, I would hate to she her mad!!!
Peace

tcdrover Mar 18, 2004 10:50 AM

to see her mad...hehehe

tcdrover Mar 18, 2004 10:47 AM

You can really see the difference in muscle tone form that of a
burmese python on there. She looks MUCH stronger than a burm
of the same size........tc

with excellent body weight. Curious as to the background on her, as far as her origins being cb/wc, and at what size you obtained her. Do you have any shots of the male you intend to use, and the type of setup you maintain her in. I would be interested to know if you are like us and have dispensed with the water setup. Thanks Rich,

Kelly

` That is a great picture. She looks like she's on her way somewhere, and using you for a stepping-stone.
` She is one healthy looking Anaconda.
`
` I hope you'll be posting more pix of her.
`
` Here's a pic of the more compact model. The snake, I mean, lol.

` Thank you; Rich

Dfr I would not take anymore pix of that snake, It has a very strange looking head on it. It appears to have some kind of strange facial infection, you might want to take it to a vet. lol

dfr Mar 18, 2004 02:25 PM

` Tried that. The Vet ran screaming, off toward the horizon. I hear that now, she's working in a meat packing plant.

` Mr. Ihle's post made me realize that posting a pic of yourself ain't such a bad idea, as he is a most atypical looking snake keeper.

` Anyway, MR_ANACONDA28, we have our eye on you.

your snake appears to have a tumor growing on its body.
how are you not scared with a snake that big around your neck?

dfr Mar 18, 2004 08:00 PM

` It's not a tumor, but a pilonidal cyst.
`
` Who says I wasn't scared? Whoever it was is quite wrong.

` Just like riding my motorcycle on the street. I stay scared, and alive. You have too much fun, you die, or worse!

` Assume nothing. Expect the worst, when taking a risk. Be prepared for it. If it doesn't happen, be pleasantly surprised.

Wonderful pic. So few large anaconda pics out there. Like someone else mentioned, could you please give us some more info - length, what you feed it, how many kids it has eaten,
the cage you keep it in, temperment, etc. I'm sure a bunch of us would appreciate that info. Thanks.
