Go south. If you can get out there, try the less populated barrier islands. I lived on Sapelo for a couple years and there seemed to be no shortage of EDBs or cottonmouths. Look behind the dunes or just above the edges of the marshes, especially along small trails made by rodents going into the edges f the marsh to feed.
Take lots of bug repellent and check for ticks regularly.
You don't have to go far. I live in NE GA and we find alot of timbers, canebrakes and pygmies. Get away from the Atl metro area and get some good maps. Hit the backroads and "pig trails" looking for tin and trash.I do alot of herping east of Atl around Green, Oglethorpe,Putim counties and do pretty well. But if you want EDB's you will be better off the further east or south you go. Marty
