I think it would probably be a bad idea. Tegus hatch in the wild at the same time the adults stop eating. That implies that the adults would see the hatchlings as food. Since they are opportunistic feeders, I would probably not take the risk. On the other hand, I have a buddy who introduced a 13" argus monitor to his 3' argus and they got along fine. If you are set on them sharing the same space, get the bigger one nice and full so food is not on its mind, then introduce the smaller one. See if they get along or not, and be prepared to break them up (and probably get bitten). I have never tried this myself, but like I said, it is usually not recommended.
