How do i know if my snake regurgitated his food or just released it normally? Thanks
Obviously neither smell beautiful, but a regurgitaion will smell horrible. It will reek of rotten meat. It usually looks quite different as well. A regurgitation will most likely have blood or flesh in it. If the snake ate the meal just a short while ago it could very well look like a full mouse still. Defecation usually is accompanied by urates.

Are you asking if maybe your snake STARTED to eat an item and then decided not to for one reason or another? With my snakes, the only reasons I have seen them do that is if the prey was a bit on the large size or is something really startled them.
A "released" food item will look about the same as it did when you fed it to the snake. A regurge will often look partially digested and generally disgusting. Of course, if you are keeping an eye on things during the short period of time when the snake is eating...you will know. Once the snake has it all the way down, it's a regurge even if he only ate it 5 minutes ago.

Oh...I guess I misunderstood the question. Oops.
