Crested Gecko Anatomy

I just recently got a crested gecko. My first Rhaco. I was trying to determine the sex and right on the side of what appears to be the hemipenal bulges are 2 white "spurs". Does anyone know what these are? Is it a male (or female) trait? Also, do male Crested geckos have the "V" of femoral pores like other kinds of geckos do?
