Repti-bark, Lizard Litter???

tuwhada Mar 18, 2004 02:53 PM

I have had my russian for quite some time and I have alwasy kept in on Lizard litter. Well when I took him to the vet there was some bedding in his stool so I am concerned that he is eating it. Now I got this new russian that they had on the repti-bark and I keep my ornate box turtle on some repti-bark. Is this a save substrate to use for Russians??? I like it b/c it is bigger pieces but I don't know if it is good for them or not.
Thanks for your help
Christina

Visit the tortoisetrust.org for ideas on housing Russians.

I beleive they recommend a mixture of potting soil and sand, but double check the website to be sure.
