caging question

mike d Mar 18, 2004 03:57 PM

i have an iguana right now as well as a small mali uro. and my vet doesnt think that my iguana will ever be able to climb well again so he sugested me making his cage lower. so now i will have a big area of the cage left. and i was in my room thinking and i dont know if this will work but. do you think it would be fine if i made a uro a cage in the bottom part of the cage?it would be close to 8 feet long and 4 feet wide. and probably about 2.5 feet tall probably closer to 2. but this way i can get a few more uros to keep in with my single on right now and they would have alot of space. my only concern is that it will be low to the ground. will this bother them at all?

this cage sounds fine.

do you have any cats or dogs? if you do, then i would put it up higher cuz i know my dog wants to eat everyone of my lizards (bad habit he started when i used to keep tropical fish) (attacking the glass) he will attack the front whenever he hears scratching so all my cages have to be well above him!!!! as long as you don't have any big scary monsters (dogs/cats) that will be running infront of the cage constantly it should be fine.

hope this helps
