Wards science supplies. I just ordered one about 2 weeks ago, with shipping and everything it was about 30 bucks, and they are juveniles 3-3.5 inches.

Talk to Micheal Shromm. He's an excellent breeder, great animals and good prices. He also breeds dart frogs and newts. His email is: shrommj@ptd.net

Hi there:

Although officially an endangered species, captive bred Axolotls have been available to the hobbyist since the 1830's. I have had the luck of locating and working with these amazing "arrested adolescents." They are often available in tropical fish outlets, or even fish bait stores (sadly enough, in which case you could save a life.) You may be able to locate a seller online, but gilled delicate creatures like Axolotls that need lots of cold water usually do not ship very well. They are very popular animals in private exhibits like mine, so you might want to go tour nearest herpetological society and see if you can get one cheap. I hope thish helps.
