Pushups?

azlunchbox Mar 18, 2004 05:56 PM

Hey everyone. I just got my new male from deerfern farms and put him in with two females that i already have.
He is doing good and looks beautiful.

Anyways he is adult sized and is in with another same size female.....and one female that is a bit smaller then them.
But the male and the female of the same size were facng eachother and both started doing the mating pushup dance thing that Uros tend to do.
Now i have read about this before and know that it is normal breeding behavior....but i never read if it was something that just males do, or just females, or if both do it.

Is it normal for them to both be doing it?

thanks for any help.

Yes, it's normal for the female to respond to the male with pushups of her own, although usually her pushups are less intense and of shorter duration than his..
