I'm excited. New Dumerili's arrived yesterday!

I just got a couple of beautiful Dumeril's Boa babies from James at Serpent's Lair. Here's a pic of the male in some native California oak tree leaf litter. Still looks like he could settle in and disappear pretty quickly I'd say.

These guys are a couple of weeks old. They also have lots of that great salmon-ey pink color, which seems too subtle to convey accurately in photographs.

This pic was taken today with a Canon 10D with Canon 100mm f2.8 macro lens. I'll be posting more of both of them at the below site. These are my first foray into ground boas, and as you can tell I'm pretty jazzed up.

Hope you enjoy.

The color and pattern on these boas is just awesome (out of all my snakes, these are the ones my other half finds the most striking...and he isn't even a snake person). It seems like the better the color is when they're young, the more they retain as they age. Good luck with your little guy!

Does Serpent's Lair have a website? I'd like to see what else they have for sale!

Thanks for the compliment on the photo. Serpents lair does have a site:

James was great to do business with. Highly recommended.

Read his bite account stories. Pretty crazy.

Here's a few more interesting pics of my new charges. They ate their first meal since their UPS adventure 5 days ago. I guess they are settling in.

These guys are absolutely gorgeous and seem incredibly laid back temperament wise. Hope you all enjoy the pics.

Wow, nice photos! Those are very nice snakes.

Would it be impolite to ask for MORE pictures? Your snakes are gorgeous!
