If by hypo, you mean Rich Ihle's salmon, then there is no possible het for hypo. Salmon is a dominant mutant. If it doesn't look salmon, then it doesn't have the salmon mutant gene. Sorry to rain on your parade.
Don't know what the double hets are going for. They are out of my price range. 8-(
Paul Hollander
its positive for albino and anery
Hanged if I know. If this thread refers to an ad, give me the URL, and I'll try to figure it out.
Paul Hollander
as Paul asked, is this from an ad?
My thinking is...
well you said you are sure it is het albino and anery? hmm.
Perhaps it's poss. het stripe? (that's the only recessive
gene I can think of that is bred commonly with albinos..)
Or could it be a 'double het ghost pos het albino or
double het sunglow poss het anery'? That would make more
sense if hypo/salmon is involved as an animal expressing the
salmon gene but also carrying another (albino or anery) is
commonly refered to as a double het.
OR, is this a diff. strain of hypo not related to salmon?
There is one strain being worked with that is thought to
be recesssive hypo if I remeber correctly.
Just some more thoughts...
As far as pricing, the classifieds are full of ads for
DH snows and other DHs, so you can find the prices there...
they are too much for me.
