any one jhave a picture of a california mt. king? i think i found a a couple today, just looking for a reference. the one i saw kind of looked like a coral snake. also are these legal to harvest in california?

Here’s one I caught last year. This is a sierra Mt. king L. z. multicincta. You can collect one with a valid fishing license.

Previous reply is correct. The limit is 1 with a fishing license unless you were in San Diego County or LA County west of Interstate 5. Those populations are protected.
