I have been there before. Just as they were closing down. they had a few herps there but not that many. Sounds like good store but they will only do mail order now, they no longer have a store front there.
thanks for the reply

There is a store in Elmwood Park called Route 4 Aquarium that has more herps than the average pet store. It is pretty good.
They sell everything but cats and dogs. Jungle exotics moved to edgewater for a while but now they are closed there as well.

by the way- I work at Route 4 Aquarium- are you looking for anything in particular?

Do you mean Reptile Encounters? I actually never even went in there before it closed down.
Do you mean the huge albino burm from a number of years ago?- He is no longer there- the store has changed owners. A long time ago the reptile department was seperate and a woman named Kathy owned it. SHe had a very large albino burm and a large water monitor that walked around. She left and the fish part took over. Then around 4? years ago one of the managers at the time bought the store.

I beleive we had a relatively large albino burm a few weeks ago that was friendly and he was sold. I only work on sundays now since I go to Rutgers in New Brunswick
