hi
dont beat me up
i'm house-sitting my brothers turtle and an accident occured.
apparently he crawled out of the tank (one of those turtle tanks with an open side) and basically fell two or three feet to a hard wooden floor. i checked his shell for cracks and found nowe. he's back in the tank now and swimming and acting normal... i'm still wondering if he's actually ok...should i take him to the vet for an x-ray?
thanks
ps: the opening is now fully turtle proof so that this does not happen again.

Hi! I don't think anyone will beat you up. You are not the first person a turtle has escaped from. Some people lose them in their houses and can't find them for months. Good to know you have closed off the escape route. I personally would not take the turtle in for x-rays. If he begins to act abnormally you might have him checked out, but he's probably just fine.
