Waterdragon not eating crickets anymore.

jeffro9 Mar 19, 2004 01:18 PM

I have a six month old waterdragon that was ona diet of crickets only. He ate about 5 large every other day. Recently I fed him a few mealworms and now he will not eat crickets. It has been almost three weeks. What can I do? I know he will not grow very much with only mealworms.

change the diet, they can get tired of one type of food, you can try lots of other things, silk worms, small mice, earthworms, butter worms there are lots of other food varieties out there and its kinda mean to make any animal have only 1 choice for food. most people feed more crickets than any other type of food just because they are relativly cheap and you can get them almost anywhere. just my 2 cents, i know my water dragon started acting a whole lot more healthy when i started varying the diet for him.
