Another minor, irritating problem.
First, here are my setup specs:
2'x2'x4' PVC coated wire cage with 1/2" spacing
73-75 degree ambient
82 degree basking spot
55-65% humidity
2 Reptisun 5.0 tubes
3 regular plant tubes
1 ficus benjamina
1 Sheflerra
numerous climbing sticks
Why would a perfectly healthy Jackson's (my ARAV Vet just told me he was in excellent health) lay around on the cage floor, which in my case is plexiglass?
He likes to go down there late in the day and lay there, spread-eagle, and even sleeps like that, the little weirdo. Maybe he just likes the way laying on the plexiglass bottom feels.
I thought it was probably because he was hot, but that can't be. My ambient temp. is 74 degrees, every day. Always has been. He does this about twice a week. One day he'll do it, the next day he'll spend all day at the top of his tree.
He is perfectly healthy, I promise.
Anyone have any ideas why he might be doing this?
