Ok,
1 foot of water is too much for a hatchling, unless it really has alot of stuff to climb on to get air. Try 2 or 3 inches of water and some rocks. Raw chicken does not move, think, would it come across raw chicken in the wild? No, feed it fish or frogs for a while and then try to get it eating other stuff.

The water should only be 3 or 4 inches... 1 foot takes too much effort for a hatchling to get to the surface for air... lower the water, and buy some minnows and small crickets, and reptomin

I have a 20 gallon long tank for my kids (still hatchlings) that is full to 2 inches from teh top. There is a big log thingy (fake long/stone) in teh middle that goes up to about 1 inch from teh surface. The kids sleep on the top of the rock near the surface, and go the the bottem to hunt fish. Seems to work well, but they really need that small distance to teh surface.

I am from the lovley world of online gaming, where "teh" is the correct spelling.

Also in the world, spelling is not a major concern, so eh.

sorry if this bothers anyone, but i have the worst grammer and spelling EVAR!

thanks
Mike
