Green Tree Caging Question........

TheBeard Jun 11, 2003 09:25 PM

I am seriously considering getting a GTP in the future when I have more money......I was just wondering what an appropriately-sized cage would be for an adult and if you guys could recommend any cage brands (barrs, etc.) that work good for GTPs. Thank for any help/info!

I've got a few adults that I'm currently housing in BARRS 20x20x20 cages. I've used BARRS for years with geckos and other snakes, and I'm finding them so far to work equally well with juvenile and adult chondros. Plus, for the price, they're really hard to beat.

Also, over the next few months I plan on building some larger adult and breeding cages myself. We'll see how that goes. lol

One thing to consider with chondros is that super tall cages are not really necessary. You want to provide just as much horizontal space if not more than vertical space.
