After reading all your posts about your chameleons and talking to other cham owners, it seems to me, Chams seemed to be the most oddly and interestgly named reptile. Just curious how you make up your pets' names and what inspired you to name em that. Just curious. What are your other pets' names?

I name my pets after movie characters. Or characters out of books I've read. My veiled is named Dr. Gonzo (Oscar Costa's alter ego in Hunter Thompson's 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas') I have 2 rats [hairless and dumbo], Jules and Vince (Pulp Fiction). A baby ball python, Tony Rocky Horror (Pulp Fiction), and two tarantulas, Ignignok and Err(Aqua Teen Hunger Force, insanely funny cartoon that nobody understands).

In a few months I'm might get a Jackson's. I've been really thinking about it and even made a whole bunch of room for him. Pretty excited. Two names for him: Ichi (Ichi The Killer, movie) or Snake (Metal Gear video games)

And yes . . . I am 21 and still watch toons and play videogames. What of it?

I'm trying to think of a name for my baby veiled I don't know what to name him anybody have a good name??

I know of lots of unnamed chameleons! jcunitz has a female veiled who is "un-named" "the nameless terror" lol.
I named my veiled Corona, and love the name. I put in his name for keywords on the pictures of him in the gallery, and when you search "corona" you will find another person has a chameleon with the same name. Join the party!!

Really, either name them after something you like out of the media like your other animals or after a name of someone that reminds you of a chameleon, which is what some people do (i have heard of chameleons named Yoshi and Yoda...)

It's up to you, just make sure it's weird!!!

I name all my animals after infamous outlaws back in the day like my ferrets (Butch & Sundance), sugar gliders ( Bonnie & Clyde), dobberman ( Alcapone), Vield (Jessy James).

My panther is named orion. she was supposed to be a he lol. I like astrological names, they sound really neat. Other names I like are venus, neptune, and mercury. And I want to name one Acadia. I work at a call centre, and once in a while I'll hear an uncommon name that I'll really like. That was one of them.
And who said anything was wrong with cartoons??

I also like names of different gods from different myths (Greek, egyptian, etc) THey always sound neat.
or, I watch for if the animal has some strange habbit, or to see what his/her personality is like.
My other pets are chico the dwarf hampster (small but FIERCE lol) bongo (just something that popped in my head) and citris (She's all yellow with red eyes) the budgies, bonzai (she was supposed to be a he, or she would have been Kiara) and tigger (he is scared of his own shadow, the complete opposite of a tiger, and he isnt' orange) the cats and fish the goldfish. It never got a name, lol. It is a messed up fish, it kind of scares me.
A lot of times wierd things just pop into my head. For example, what is a chimbakka? lol I just like how it sounds.

I named my Chameleon Bender. Partly because the first day I got him he was stretching and bending so much while climbing around (seemed to take the hardest path up or down) and partly because I love the show Futurama. Bender is great, according to Bender. Aqua Teen Hunger Force is great! Meatwad is the coolest. lol
