yes and no , i'm not going repeat the whole thread it's down there and i started it under "djw" look for it , it was pretty big---------------------------------
some folks keep them together and most don't - they can be "out"
or together for short amount of times with no problems-----
i asked this same question in a previous thread although i had done some research beforehand ----------
i have two 15 inch , i male and 1 female 1 albino bananna and the other a striped desert king............ i WAS having a space
problem and decided to try and house them togeather and see what happened........ the striped female was cool , did not care in the least , the male albino was freakin! not trying to fight just nervous as can be , i thought i'll give it a couple of days and see what happens? 2 day's later the male albino which has
had feeding problems in the past and almost did not make it but is now and has been for about 3 months been getting big fast,
regurgitaited 2 of the 3 feeders i fed him 2 day's before! this is bad..... meaning it was just to much, to stressful for him
so i had to seperate them , i might try it agian in the future
but i can tell you this real fast, make sure they are the same size , not hungry , not 2 males and 2 water bowls 2 hides big tank-------
find that old thread and see what everyone's opinions where.

thnks, hey DJ is it common for two kings housed in the same area to shed at the same time? both my kings are in shed, eyes a lil cloudy, skin a lil milky,i put some humid hides in last nite, the brooks seemed to know what was up since he's a lil older i guess and its been done to him before by the prev caretaker, my cali desert king although didnt want no part of the humid hide(moist paper towel inside a styrofoam cup)the brooks has been in there ever since i put it in is this normally allright? should i take him out?n need i change the paper towel each n every day?or let it dry out completely?appr it,Mike.s
just a thought--relax!!!! You are asking tons and tons of questions, which is great that you want to take the best possible care of your animals--but it seems like you are doing a fine job and you don't need to come to the board for every little thing. Also, in response to your original post--remember snakes are not animals or humans....though you may think they would 'like' to get to know one another, really they don't care about having buddies. Snakes are mainly solitary and will be content and healthy on their own. Plus it does seem to be a bit of a risk esp with kings....
The snakes do not care about being together. If you did it it would be something you were doing for YOU, not for them. Is the risk of one of your snakes getten hurt or eaten worth it just so you can see them together?
This does not always happen, but it is always a risk. How would you feel if one of your snakes got hurt?

I know this reply aint up to date but i was just trying to see if i can house a male and a female together even though it aint breeding season. The reason i reply though is how do i make a wet hide spot?
