Water conditioners

Goblin-Gecko14 Mar 19, 2004 05:52 PM

Do I have to buy those reptile specific water conditioners or can I use the aquarium ones. However I have one that replenishes the slime of fish and I dont know if that's safe cn someone tell me please?

I personally feel that a lot of products that are herp-specific are overpriced or useless. Stick with the fish kinds. Ones that add a slime coat are ideal for stressed amphibians, but not essential. Those kinds of water conditioners do NOT remove ammonia, make sure you use a separate one for that, like Amqel.
