I am moving from CA to NC and will be driving so I am having my 5 Red Eye Tree Frogs boarded at an animal hospital until I arrive in North Carolina. I want to have a shipping service pick them up at the animal hospital and overnight them to me but am not sure which shipper to use. I will be providing all the packaging materials to the animal hospital and they said they would pack them up for me. Will UPS or Airborne Express pick them up and overnight them? I have been reading through the threads and am conflicted on who the best shipping company is.

Either you or the animal hospital must have a live animal account in order to ship via them. It takes about a week to get one if you are approved through UPS. It takes some red tape to get through and about a 5-10 minute phone interview, then that is sent to the head honcho and he either says approved or denied.

Hmm. Well I am leaving in about a week so I don't know about that. I would think an animal hospital might have an account but who knows. I will call them on Monday and find out. Seems like others have been able to ship UPS without having a live animal account.
