I've been having a problem with one of my male leopards not eating. However if I take him out of the cage and put a cricket near his mouth for a few seconds he will normally bite at it and after some relucatantcy, swallow it. But other than this he will not eat. I've been told that this could be due to internal problems and to get a stool sample, but I also did some research on other probable causes. I got ahold of something mentioning about males and their territory. If 2 males are kept in enclosures next to each other, they can sense each other (either by sight, smell, etc.) and this could possibly cause them to stop eating. As well as being housed with certain females during breeding. It also mentioned that even if they are seperated by some distance, they may still continue to be stubborn about eating. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any ideas on what to do to get him to take in more food or force alternative food until he gains some weight back? Any help would be appreciated.
