question..Jiffypop or others???

just took in another rescue...here is a pic....it had a broken tail but thats ok now...seems ok ..needs room to move and climb...so ...when i got it home i opened my other iguanas cage and showed the new iguana to it...nothing much went down...then i put the new iguana in the cage....it ate a little...then climed right up to the other iguana...now the new one that is only about 3 feet long kind of bit the other one.not hard at all..so before anything happened i took it out...was it just a little here i am bite or if i keep them together am i asking for trouble??????thanks...billy?

Billy, looks like you've got 2 males there. Even with the size enclosures that you use, I don't believe you should keep them together. Male iguanas are extremely territorial and, even tho you keep monitors, you would be surprised at the aggression that they can display. If one doesn't outright kill the other eventually by fighting, the stress to the less dominant one will kill it sooner or later. I know this is probably not what you wanted to hear but I really would not keep them together. '

That's a great picture- sure does look like a male you're holding, from the femoral pores and the bulges under the tail. But my question is, when did the one you're holding lose his tail? I can see that it's grown back, because it's much skinnier than the base of the tail near the vent, but it looks like it's grown back with scales AND stripes, and that's pretty amazing.

Is it different from your other iguana's tail? Is the pattern blurrier or anything? My iguana has grown back six inches of tail after an unfortunate pet-sitter accident, and I am thinking it would be so nice if it grew back the way your iguana's has.
