White's Tree Frogs?

dragonlovers Mar 19, 2004 09:37 PM

Do these frogs make good pets? If so in what sense? Do they allow themselves to be held? How hard are they to care for? How long do they live?

If you are new to frogs ampibians then a whites tree frog is a perfect starter pet. They are extreamly easy to care for if given the proper environmeant. And if they are cared for correctly they can live 15 years. yhe only thing is they will requier a 20 gal. high tank if your just keeping one. So it does take up some space. Make shure it has lots of places to climb and hide because thier eyes are light sensitive.

Whites or green tree frogs do make the best first pets. Believe it or not, horned frogs also make a great first pet. All frogs are really not meant to be handled with but if you are interested in that, whites tree frogs have to be the best. They strectch their legs and will actually hang out on your hand for a while. They are also pretty active, depending on the mood.Hope this helps...
