They're up! They're out! They're eating; well, one anyway...
My little reds finally decided to come out for the first time yesterday. The larger, fatter of the two, which the breeder thinks is a male, is eating everything in sight. The smaller one, that the breeder thinks is a female, may not have planned on getting up yet, but the other one climbing over her sort of got her up. She has drunk water, but hadn't eaten anything until this afternoon, when I tried her on some mashed banana. THAT, she liked, although she didn't eat very much. Wish she'd eat more; she's kind of skinny right now. She won't eat crickets or turkey yet, and both of them ignore mealworms and superworms.
They are already showing distinct personalities. The male is very active; not scary, but just walks from hand to hand. The female is more curious, crawling up my arm, and she actually watches me when I watch her. Really cool. I'll try to get some pictures this weekend and see if I can figure out how to post them.
Now ol' worry wart here can relax. lol
