Cage building question...

dblough Mar 20, 2004 03:15 AM

I am in the process of building a new melamine tank for my beardie's and I am curious what type of sealant would be the the best/safest to use to seal the inside of the tank up. Thanks in advance!

This is my guess but get something similiar to the clear acrylic you would use for a glass tank if it cracked. How much are you wanting/having to seal?

You need to use a 100% silcone sealant. It's harmless when it dries and it is watertight (bugtight too). It also serves as an adhesive helping to make things hold together a little better.
