In my opinion the Bearded dragon is by far the most docile lizard I have ever seen, I've seen a story here and there about a nasty dragon with a bad attitude but I have had my two adults for well over a year now and I have raised and sold close to 100 babies and I have not had one single dragon that didn't like to be handled, I can feed both of my adults by hand and most of my babies have enough courage to eat out my hand as well. I have been nipped a time or two when feeding them by hand but it definately was not on purpose.. lol With their eyes on the sides of their heads sometimes the just misjudge the distance : ) My son also got nipped by my adult female once but I think it scared him more than it actually hurt him. As far as housing goes the general rule of thumb is atleast 40-50 gallons for an adult, you can get away with a 20 gallon long when the dragon is a juvenile and a sub adult but they do grow fast and should reach full grown size in around 12-15 months. Here is a very good care sheet: www.sundialreptile.com/care%20sheet--bearded%20dragon.htm If you have any other questions or if you are possibly interested in purchasing a baby dragon please feel free to shoot me an email, my email is in my signature down below.

Are you getting Pogona vitticeps or do you have access to other species? 'Cause then you could make most of the people here really jealous .
