Closeup of one of my blotched females

Creaturesofthenight Mar 20, 2004 11:03 AM

Heres one of my blotched kingsnakes, a two year old female. All of my blotched kingsnakes have retained orange coloration into adulthood. They are only second to my monstrous Pinellas County FL kings....they rock!

Beautiful, is she the one related to Pandora?

Pandora has bred a number of times with Phantom, now she just wants to eat mice, so now is the "easy waiting" for her to lay her eggs, followed by the "hard waiting" for those eggs to hatch!

No that is not Pandoras sister, but this is! She better give me babies this year, lol! Her color is really washed out in this pic because of the flash, but the orange is still very apparent. Her mate will follow this message....

And this is the above females intended mate....the two year old won't be ready until next season and she will also mate with him. All three are completely unrelated.

Nice looking snake. Here's one of my females with a lot of orange. She's pushing the 4' mark.

That's really sweet Brandon. I used to produce a few close to that, as well as many patternless animals, after a few generations of work with a group I got from Mark Bell. Sold the project to Carl Gilmore but believe he too moved them. Kinda been kicking myself of late.

Thanks Tony. I remember seeing some of those nice ones that you produced. I know Carl had some the past couple of years that were pretty nice too. About 10 years ago I had a nice group of patternless animals that did well for me, but then sold them off. I still kick myself for that.

Wow! Gorgeous! Is hypo in her mix?

Brandon Osborne Mar 22, 2004 11:53 PM

No hypo mix in this one. This is just a normal Apalachicola that I picked up at a show a couple of year ago for $30. She stuck out like a sore thumb, mixed in with about 50 others. I'll try to find a hatchling pic and post it. She is one of the reddest Apalach kings I've seen. Hopefully she'll be breeding this year for the first time.

Thanks
