Man you are right, there is no way that snapper will out-live you, I doubt it will even live to be 3 years old. Give it a break kid, let it get adjusted before you try feeding it. Give it the next two days to get adjusted and then try feeding it. What size tank do you have it in? If it is a small tank, just leave the goldfish with it.
