I have some bad news, my baby Loggerhead that was basking too much, recently died from really unknown causes. The day before he died he was acting really strange, somewhat running around the tank. Then he went up on his rock and laid his head down, I have had many aquatic turtles, I have seen many bask, but I have never seen one bask while laying it's head down. It was all going good too, I was able to keep the temperature steady around 75 to 78, and I got it to eat chicken.
Well today, I just got 2 new baby Loggerheads, 1 is slightly bigger than the other and they are both bigger than the recently perished one. The smaller has a pink belly, the bigger ones is more redish. They are already adjusting fine to their new home, temperature has been around 78, it was around 82 but I lowered it because I didn't know if that was too high, the bigger one of the two ate a worm and some turtle food, and the smaller one ate some turtle food. The bigger one was also basking earlier.
