Baby Jacksons

craigreptile Mar 20, 2004 07:54 PM

Hey,

My female Jackson gave birth to 14 babies today. 4 of which were stillborn. The other ten are healthy and acting like normal babies. I have had a cluch of babies before, if i remenber right she gave birth to 12 babies and at the end of 2 months when I sold them there were seven left. This is a pretty good survival rate for jacksons, correct? I have heard of many people who lose all or all but 2 or 3 from a cluch by the time they are a couple months old. Is their any one out there who has also had resonably good luch with baby jacksons? If so what do you contribute it to?

I currently have them set up in 20 quart rubbermaid containers. But plan on moving the biggest to the "milk carton cages" shown below. (by the way, that is an excellent idea)

Any input is appreciated,

Thanks,
Craig

Yes, that's a respectable survival rate. All the advice I have to give is in the baby care article at www.adcham.com
