I have just bought a house. Where i keep my snakes has had plenty of natural light. My new reptial room will not have the natural light. Do i need to get uva/uvb bulbs for may snakes?

No you don't have to supply your snakes with UVB. I'm not sure how your current situation provided UVB, but if it was through a window, the UV rays are filtered anyway, and while you have natural light, your not providing UV benefits. There are many articles on the use and benefits/or lack of with UV lighting. Check some of the back issues of Reptiles magazine. The articles will explain the different types of lighting available, and the range in which the penetration is even noticeable. The fact that putting a UV light above screen is sometimes pointless as the screen itself may filter the UV rays your trying to provide. Snakes are generally a different ball game as compared to lizards in regards to UV requirements in captivity. Take a look around, do some research and I'm sure you'll find all the answers you need and quite a few you don't! LOL, Take care!
