cv768 Mar 21, 2004 01:33 AM

Well, she laid the eggs...but when I found them they weren't in the nesting box...they've only been there for a maximum of 8 hours...the eggs were together, and they are both white but they appear to be somewhat deflated...is this normal???

are my eggs duds??? or is there anything I can do???

Also, when we took the eggs out they might have been turned upside down for a split second but they we put into the incubator in the exact position in which they were laid. Might this have an effect on the eggs?

Put a damp peice of paper towel over the eggs. Check them the next day to see if the dents are gone. The frist couple of days dont worry about turning the egg by mistake but after that leave them in the same posistion.

Hope this helped.

They went into the incubater in a tupperware with peat moss, and the eggs were misted well...they seem to be really soft still...this morning when I checked them.

Does it even sound like these eggs are any good??? Or is this just a common problem?

thanks.

It might take a couple of days to harden up.
