I have tried every method outlined on the internet. Soaked my python. Scrubbed out his cage. Even bought a brand new 50 gallon tank. Not it too is infested. I am going crazy! The poor thing has them in his eyes. I have picked them out. Swabbed his eyes with vasceline which smothers them, but they just keep coming back. I would appreciate any suggestions!

Go to vpi.com. That is the website of Dave and Tracy Barker. On there home page is a link to an article that they wrote entitled the was against mites. It is the most indepth and accurate account on how to successfully erradicate mites.
I would suggest you buy a can or two of proventamite and use it as instrusted on the can. Ensure that you treat the surrounding area around the cage or else they will just keep coming back. Anyway, read the article it is very informative. Todd

Get Provent-a-Mite ASAP trust me it works (i watched the mites fall off). My friend brought over an infested Irian Jaya and before i knew it my bumr and ball were covered. i drove an hour one way to get that spray, i was worth every minute and penny. take out the snake and the water bowl, spray the S**T out of the cage and wait 2 dry them put the snake and water bowl back and watch the mites fall off. Hope i could help
