Humidity regulation for Indian Stars

Hi,

I live in Rhode Island, and I was wondering if it would be possible to keep Indian Stars here. I know that they require arid conditions and, as it gets fairly humid here in the summer, I was wondering if it would be possible to keep them in a room with de-humidifiers? Has anyone else with stars living in a climate similar to mine had success with this method?
