what is best sealant to use to waterproof the wood?

Hello there! When I built my last enclosure I used fiberglass, silicone, and a two part epoxy pool paint. All three did a fine job of waterproofing the plywood that was used. =)

Fiberglass at autozone, silicone and lowes, and the paint from a mail order place called Pool gear plus. They have a webpage. Just do a search and the will come up. It is a two part epoxy pool paint. Hope this helps

Are you trying to waterproof above or below the waterline?
Above the waterline, use a high quality exterior paint.
Below the waterline you really need silicon, rubber, or pool paint.
