They very commonly wild caught and usually those sorts of things don't come in at all times of the year. Also, they're pretty cheap and I don't think many dealers put up individual ads for them. If you contact importers they probably can find you one, also, your local pet store may be able to order one for you.
Of course it would be better to get CB but I've never seen any for sale so you'll be waiting a while.

I doubt anyone would. I've kept them before. I just catch them occasionally down near the beach, take them home for pics and what not, and then release them soon after.

Oh, I think I'm thinking of the wrong legless lizard! Are you talking about the giant European or the American ones?
I did find one giant at a petstore, it gave me a scar on my thumb. Pretty cool though.

Oh, ok. Then what I said goes. I actually saw them listed on a wholesaler's pricelist a few weeks back. If you really really have to have one I could work something out with that wholesaler but their quality is astoundingly mediocre most of the time. Their other common name is sheltopusik, just so you know.
