find a grower that sells wholesale to the public. the cheapest i was able to get mine(before i made a friend, lol) was $13 ea.

I just went today and bought a ficus from walmart. i have also bought four others in the past from walmart, all u have to do is when u go home, get a big trash can and fill it with water and soap . then get the plant and take it out of the pot, make sure to rinse the plant off and all the soil off the roots then dunk it in the trash can with the soapy water. holding buy the roots you can pick it up and down to get a good wash, and just rub the leavs with your hands while its under water. let it soak for half an hour then rinse real well( even roots). replant and water alot. home depot, lowes, kmart. they all have ficus.

the one with the twist trunk was about 10-15 $ and was about 2'-3', i bought a ficus bush for 7.98 ant that was about 1'-1' 1/2. they are pretty cheap.
