which do you prefer works better,?

I use 6x3ft visions with 2x3ft of heat tape on the far left side for retics above 8ft. They work well enough and I wouldnt mind getting a few more but, there are a few drawbacks.

Bowing/sagging. They do bow in the center if they are housing heavy animals and/or if you stack them. It can make it near impossible to pull the glass for cleaning. It helps if you cut a sheet of melamine to go underneath the bottom one. I know keepers who cut angel iron to apropiate size and pop rivet it to the roof above the sliding glass and that seems to help even more. I should but, for some reason I havent done this myself yet.

Ventalation. I think they have a little to much ventalation for some retics. You know the ones Im talking about. Theyre the ones that would prefer to never leave their warer bowls. I covered two of the vents with duct tape while living in California but, it dosnt seem to be nessicary in Georgia due to the high humidity here.

Size. 6x3 is the largest vision i know of. Ive heard rumors of a newly released 8ft cage but, havent seen one yet or even know if theyre real. Eventually a retic will out grow anything you can purchase.

Appearance. I think theyre cool. I like having cages that all stack well and look uniform in appearance but, my wife hates them. Its all I ever heard about when I had them in the living room. If your a married man your going to have to have a snake room. Seriously, its all youll ever hear about.

Given time your going to have to build your own. Homemade cages are prone to the same problems if their construction is not properly thought out. As long as you build supports into the corners, along the back wall and maybe across the roof, you should have a fairly stout cage.

I listed some drawbacks but, there are good things about them. Overall they are decent cages and not at all a bad place to start from. Good luck.
