GreedyG2004 Mar 21, 2004 10:00 PM

I'm a new owner and I posted someitme last week with some quesitons and posted pics (which were pretyt bad) of my new gecko. Well now, he (she?)'s about 4 or 5 weeks old and doing great. He (she)'s greedy and hyper as all hell when he/she ain't sleep in the hide. He (she) actually just shed sometime this morning. I have yet toname it bcuz I won't be able to find out the sex for a while (or so I was told)

Anyway, my question is that i'm wonderng exactly what kind of gecko this is. I bought it at a reptile expo from the Hartford Reptile Center (www.pythons.com)but I never found out what strain of leopard gecko it is. I have included sme pics....

Yeah its grey Repticarpet

oh yeah I have another question.. how am I supposed to clean the carpet besides gut getting the poops off of it

StinaUIUC Mar 22, 2004 06:24 PM

cleaning would be the problem with repticarpet...lol I would put paper towels in the "potty area" to start...that will keep stool off it all together. When you're cleaning the whole thing, you're gonna have to take it out and scrub it in a sink and then hang it to dry. I'd recommend changing your substrate to tile. You can get it at home depot or someplace similar for under 2 bucks a tile. It holds heat very well, nothing can get under it, and its very easy to clean. Also, if you get vinyl you can cut it with scissors to fit your tank.
