What's your take on John Kerry?--here's a can of worms!

rodmalm Mar 22, 2004 07:48 AM

Will democrats not vote for him because, according to them, he lied about Iraq having WMDs just like they claim Bush did?

Will they not vote for him because he voted to go to war with Iraq, like Bush did?

Will they hate him just as much as they say they hate Bush for these exact same reasons?

Will they hate him because he is against gay marriage, like Bush?

Or will it all be overlooked now, because these views are now coming from a democrat instead of a republican?

Personally, I think the hypocrites will now overlook it all.

With all his flip-flopping, democrats will only remember 1/2 the positions he took? The 1/2 that they happen to agree with!

Maybe if Bush was as indecisive as Kerry, they could find something to like about him?

With out getting into a blow by blow debate. I have experienced four years of Bush and his brother. I don't know if Kerry is any better but I have yet to hear anything that says he's worse than Bush.

If given the choice and (if he was still able) I'd vote for Regan.

Explain how Kerry lied. If its because he and others received false info about Iraq from the Bush Administration, and did what any one would do if they were told Iraq was a IMMINENT THREAT. And Bush did lie..

>>Will they not vote for him because he voted to go to war with Iraq, like Bush did?

See above post.

>>Will they hate him just as much as they say they hate Bush for these exact same reasons?

Bush has been a FAILURE to this country. Thats why every other day someone new comes from his circle, telling how "out of the loop" he is.

>>Will they hate him because he is against gay marriage, like Bush?

The government has no business dealing with this Issue. All that is, is a religious point of view.

>>Or will it all be overlooked now, because these views are now coming from a democrat instead of a republican?

I'm sorry lil guy, but both dem/rep are bidding for Slavery Inc. Whats kinda strange if you look at it, Is that both men, as were most of our presidents, are involved in these secret groups. Like Bilderberg Group, Skull & Bones etc. And refuse to discuss them. As if they are groomed to be president. I think Americans pay no mind to this, and are quick to write it off, but it is a disturbing trend. Makes you ask who really is in power.

Explain how Kerry lied. If its because he and others received false info about Iraq from the Bush Administration, and did what any one would do if they were told Iraq was a IMMINENT THREAT. And Bush did lie..

During the Clinton administration, when Clinton's administration was drawing up plans to change the regime in Iraq, Kerry co-signed a letter to encourage this, he also repeatedly stated that Iraq has WMD's from early 1998 until today!(that is until he decided to run for president)

Here's a few quotes for you for proof, from democrats! and look at the dates and how sure they were about WMDs and WMD programs!

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs."
- Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country."
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power."
- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction program."
- President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face."
- Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983."
- Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process"
- Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec.. 16, 1998

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies."
- Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, December 5, 2001

Since Kerry, and other dems., first started repeating this during the Clinton administration (when Clinton was planning on taking out Saddam), I don't know how you can blame these statements that were made by Kerry and other Dems., on Bush, or misinformation from his administration. (Actually I know how, you are a democrat so honesty is not important!-LOL)

Personally, I don't think Bush or Kerry lied, they were just wrong, as was every intelligence agency in the world.

I was just wondering if a democrat could be honest and hold Kerry up to the exact same standards as they do Bush. Obviously not! If you claim Bush lied, then you must admit that Kerry did also, if you are honest.

I'm not sure I agree with you on this one Rodney. Just because WMD weren't found doesn't mean they didn't exist in Iraq.

sobek Mar 24, 2004 05:24 PM

Bush & Kerry are both out for the same "over-all" goals in my opinion. Two very rich men, out of touch with the common public. Both members of very powerful secret groups. Dem or Rep, same thing!

rodmalm Mar 25, 2004 04:43 PM

I kind of agree, except that Bush is consistent, and Kerry will change his position if he thinks it will get him votes! I personally can't vote for someone who is as big a hypocrite as Kerry. (Yes, I see hypocracy on both sides)

Kerry is completely for this war until he starts running against Bush. That is a big problem in my book.

I should have said they appear to be wrong. That wording was a mistake on my part. It is very possible, and I think probable, that WMDs will be found eventually. Considering how easy it would be to hide such a small amount of weapons. (500,000 lbs. is only about 200 typical autos, and it would be extremely easy to hide that much weaponry, or to move it before the war started).

And what about all the other violations (other than WMDs) that have been proved? If we had found WMDs and hadn't found long range missiles, Bush bashers would probably be complaining that we shouldn't have gone to war because he had no way to deliver them without long range missiles!
